Sharing the gift of giving

Morris Walker developed and implemented a national social media and public relations strategy to help promote the Target UnitingCare Christmas Appeal.

In addition to rolling out an intensive national media and publicity campaign to drive a goal of $2 million in donations, we also developed a social media program that leveraged the support of Target and leading Australian influencers. This helped drive engagement and reach, and generated excitement and buzz around the appeal.

To complement the social media push, a number of joint media opportunities were undertaken with national figureheads including the Australian Council of Social Services and the Prime Ministers Office to draw national media attention and harness media partners to promote key messages and engagement tactics.

By working closely with the campaign’s key stakeholders, we were able to deliver strong media outcomes for Target, UnitingCare and most importantly Australian families in need at Christmas.
