Raising awareness for cystic fibrosis
Since 2015, we have been working with Cystic Fibrosis ACT to help build media buzz around its annual Santa Speedo Shuffle fundraiser.
Our creative varies from year-to-year, and in 2016 we took a fresh approach to create even greater cut-through in the cluttered communication sphere around the charity and not-for-profit sector.
We commissioned a small media gift of cupcakes and rose petals created by a local cupcake artisan, and arranged for Cystic Fibrosis ACT representatives to hand deliver these to media contacts, bloggers, trend and tastemakers throughout Canberra.
These sweet little treats were designed to leverage the charity’s 65 Roses tagline and to generate excitement and intrigue around the event.
Using our contacts, Morris Walker engaged high profile bloggers to post images of these cupcakes on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook to increase reach and awareness of the event.
Over the three-month media campaign we generated coverage worth more than $300,000 in advertising equivalent value. Morris Walker also managed Cystic Fibrosis ACT’s Facebook page throughout the duration of the campaign, encouraging engagement in and promotion of the event.
